What do I wear for a Lomi Lomi Massage?
Due to the long sweeping flowing strokes along the body, you will typically be naked for a Lomi Lomi massage. This means no bra or underwear is to be worn. Please note- however loving and attentive your massage feels, it is still a professional service. Genitals are not treated and are draped and covered with a sarong at all times. Please do not ask any therapist to treat that area as you will put an end to your treatment immediately. Chest and breast massage is typically included as a very important part of the treatment. As a therapist, it is important to me that you are fully relaxed and as such, personal boundaries are important to maintain. If you have any questions about this please feel free to reach out to discuss prior to your treatment. If you are uncomfortable with removing your underwear or bra for the treatment it is possible to adapt the strokes used throughout however you will be missing out on some of the intended flow of the massage. What can I expect from a Lomi Lomi massage treatment?
When the day for your Lomi Lomi is here, you will arrive on time and relax in our comfy waiting area. I will greet you and take you to our treatment room. I will have my oil warm, have set out some candles, or possibly incense, crystals, ritual oils etc as appropriate and have some relaxing music playing. I will then have us sit together and discuss your goals for the treatment, your expectations and boundaries, any injuries or concerns you might have and go through our consent form together. I will then give you a fresh sarong and allow you to get changed into it, removing underwear etc. We will then begin your massage face down, making sure you are comfortable and setting our intention together, coming back to our breath and allowing a state of relaxation, openness and healing to begin.
Your massage will go for the minimum amount of time that is booked so please be sure to allow extra time when booking in. (for example, if you book in for a 90 minute minimum Lomi Lomi massage, 90 minutes is the minimum time it will take for the massage only, so your full appointment time will be 120 minutes to allow for consult before and after. It is not ideal to book a session when you have another appointment or party plans directly afterwards as sometimes the process can take longer than expected and I prefer to hold space for that where possible.
After your massage is complete, I will wash the oil from your hands and feet and help you come back to a present state. You will be able to get dressed and we will have space to talk about anything that might have come up for you, things you liked/would prefer different next time. We will settle the remaining payment for the service and you will then be free to head off in a relaxed and blissed out state.
Do you offer refunds?
No, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. If you are unhappy with any part of your service, you can always reach out and let us make it right. If you have purchased multiple services in advance and it has become impossible for you to redeem the services for whatever reason, please reach out to us via email and explain the situation. We may, in certain cases be able to offer a partial refund to be negotiated privately.
